This workshop will provide an overview of Internet tools and techniques for online fundraising from individual donors. We'll cover: planning an online fundraising campaign; making your website more effective; opening a channel of communications with your offline donors using email and the Web; understanding what Internet tools are available to help you succeed; evaluating your effectiveness with metrics.
Michael Stein is a nationally renowned technology writer and Internet strategist with two decades of experience working with nonprofits, foundations, labor unions and technology providers. He is currently the Associate Director of Groundspring.org (formerly eGrants.org), a nonprofit technology agency that provides Internet tools and training to nonprofits nationwide. Michael is the author of three books about the Internet including "The eNonprofit: A Guide to ASPs, Internet Services and Online Software," with John Kenyon, published by CompassPoint Nonprofit Services. Michael's opinion and analysis have been featured in numerous media including The New York Times, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Nonprofit Quarterly, National Public Radio and Wired News. He is a frequent speaker and workshop presenter at nonprofit conferences and workshop series.
