Mutiny Radio is an independently programmed and collectively run Internet radio station based in the Mission District of San Francisco. Featuring an eclectic mix of music, news, politics, art, comedy, and community events, Mutiny Radio educates and informs the public outside of mainstream media--providing an outlet for local and independent artists, musicians, activists, leaders, thinkers, and comedians.
Mutiny Radio has hosted live interviews with guests such as funk legend George Clinton, reggae & ska legend Toots & the Maytals, modern rockers Cut Copy, New Order's Peter Hook, blues legend Tommy Castro, comedian Wyatt Cenac, psych-rock hero Roky Erickson, and many more. In addition it routinely broadcasts remotely from regular and special events including the monthly Oakland Art Murmur, the Treasure Island Music Festival, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the De Young Museum, and others.
In addition to our programming, Mutiny Radio offers the community at large a gallery and meeting space. The space, once operated as a café andhome to the infamous Maple Bacon Latte, has now been transformed into a blank slate where people can hang art, host comedy shows, lead classes and workshops--broadcasting live, if they choose. It is affordable, accessible, and available for the community at large to use.
What We Need
Mutiny Radio wants to continue to broadcast our unique programming and provide an open space for the community. However, we need your help to do so! We are supported solely by DJ membership dues and fundraising efforts. This is why we are asking for YOUR HELP to keep the tradition of independent radio and community involvement alive. Your donation will go toward covering our rent and expenses such as internet, utilities, and studio equipment.
Our many DJ’s with their unique shows are also always looking for sponsors. This is a fun and interactive way to support the station. In exchange for an ongoing monthly sponsorship, the show of your choosing will plug your projects, business, or events. Check out the schedule and contact the station if a show stands out and you’d like to sponsor it! http://pcrcollective.org/?page_id=62
Most of all, your donation will help us continue to make a difference through high-quality, independently produced community radio.
Thank you & Viva Mutiny!
