Publishers will pay you in advance to write your book, and in this workshop, you'll learn how to compose the short book proposal that will attract advance payment and how to get an agent who will negotiate the best contract for you. Instructor: Judy Brown is author of six nonfiction books that have sold over 200,000 copies. Currently the Book Acquisition Editor for National Lampoon Press, Judy has also been an associate writer at the LA Weekly for over a dozen years, and written for the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, Mademoiselle, and Playboy magazine.
